DEADLOCK Announces New Bassist
April 10, 2009Germany's DEADLOCK has announced the addition of bassist John Gahlert (FALL OF SERENITY, STOLEN PLEASURE, BURIED GOD) to the group's ranks. The band states, "In the end, we let our hearts speak and we chose John for his patience, his energy, his visions and his grace! We could not have done it better and we're sure to reinvent and advance our musical creation to the next level. From now on we are back with full effect and we are looking forward to see you girls and boys at one of our next shows around this planet! Please welcome John with high passion!"

"The Brave / Agony Applause", the new video from DEADLOCK, can be viewed below. The clip was filmed with director Philipp Hirsch (HEAVEN SHALL BURN, AMON AMARTH, DISILLUSION). The track comes off the group's new album, "Manifesto", which was released in Europe on November 17 (January 6 in the U.S.) via Lifeforce Records. The follow-up to 2007's "Wolves" was mixed by Jacob Hansen (MERCENARY, VOLBEAT, RAUNCHY) and was released in several different formats. The artwork and design for "Manifesto" was handled by Adam Wentworth at www.the663.com, who has previously worked with BEYONCÉ, COHEED AND CAMBRIA and A LIFE ONCE LOST.
